One Day Training Course for Managers - Developing an 0rganisation's Web Accessibility Policy
Course aims :
This course will answer the questions: What is accessible web design? and Why is it important for my organisation?
It will provide a jargon free introduction to the issue of web accessibility for non-technical staff with managerial and policy development responsibilities. It will provide a sound basis of knowledge for those responsible for developing and implementing web accessibility policy.
The course will cover the following areas:
- What is meant by an inaccessible website?
- The law and your website
- Accessible web design; understanding the economic impact
- Accessibility and usability - what's the difference?
- Ethical and moral issues of accessible web design
- Developing organisational policies
The course will provide participants the essential information they need to analyse and develop organisational requirements in relation to web accessibility. It will enable managers to grasp the issues involved when developing policy and provide them with useful guidelines and resources to assist in the implementation of web accessibility policy and the management of accessible websites.
